Redemption Canadian Reformed Church
Redemption Canadian Reformed Church believes the good news of redemption from sin in Jesus Christ is central to everything it is as a local church. It confesses that we are saved by grace alone, in Christ alone, through faith alone, to the glory of God alone, submits to Scripture alone, and holds to the ecumenical creeds and the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Canons of Dort.
Redemption Canadian Reformed Church was instituted in 1997 under the name Flamborough Canadian Reformed Church, and it belongs to Classis Central Ontario of the Canadian Reformed Churches. For its first twenty years it worshipped in the building of Rehoboth Canadian Reformed Church on Dundas Street in Burlington, and then for four years it rented Grace Christian School on Millgrove Side Road.
In January 2022 the congregation moved into its own newly built church on Safari Road in Strabane, in Flamborough. Two services are held every Sunday, at 10:00 in the morning and 3:00 in the afternoon, and the church gives its mission as “Loving God; loving one another; sharing the gospel.”
