## What they believe
Templo Nueva Vida is a Spanish-speaking Pentecostal church in Crown Point that says it is dedicated to serving the Hispanic community and new immigrants. An active member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, it holds in its creed that the Bible is inspired and infallible in its original writing, that God exists eternally in three persons, and that Christ, who died as the sinner's substitute, is received by faith alone. In its services, it says, believers may experience gifts of the Holy Spirit such as speaking in tongues and prophecy, in keeping with its Pentecostal tradition.

## What to expect
The Sunday service brings praise and worship, ministry with dance and tambourines, preaching, personal ministry and prayer, and ends with a shared lunch. Ushers help visitors park, answer questions and welcome them on arrival.

## About this congregation
Templo Nueva Vida worships at the corner of Grosvenor Avenue North and Auburn Avenue in Crown Point, near the Centre Mall at Ottawa and Barton Streets. The church names its pastors as Diuvert and Misalys, and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada's district directory gives 1985 as the year the congregation was established.

Its building is the former Calvary Methodist Church. The City's heritage inventory records that the cornerstone was laid on 31 May 1913 for a Romanesque Revival church of red and orange brick and stone designed by F. W. Warren, built for a congregation that had opened as Crown Point Methodist in 1906. It became Calvary United Church in 1925, was used by a Foursquare Gospel congregation from 1968 to 1988, and has been owned by Templo Nueva Vida since 2007.

Services are in Spanish. The main service is on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch, and a prayer service is held on Thursday evenings.
