Services are held in the gym of Guido de Brès Christian High School. A potluck lunch follows the morning service, the afternoon teaching service includes a question-and-answer session, and the Mercy Pathfinders program for children aged 3 to 10 runs during the morning service. During the week the church runs its programs from the Mercy Center at 128 Parkdale Avenue North.

Mercy Christian Church describes itself as a Reformed, Bible-believing church in Lower East Hamilton and is a member of the federation of Canadian Reformed Churches. It confesses the Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian creeds and the Three Forms of Unity, holds to the five solas of the Reformation, and baptizes believers and their infant children.

## What to expect
Members of the welcome team greet visitors at the entrance. The congregation sings, prays and hears teaching from the Bible, with the Bible texts and song lyrics projected on a screen. A collection bag is passed round for people in need and Christian charities, and guests are told not to feel obliged to give. Nursery care is offered for children up to three at both services, and there is plenty of free parking around the building.

Mercy Christian Church was instituted on 11 September 2022 and belongs to Classis Central Ontario of the Canadian Reformed Churches; its pastor has led it since it began in 2019. It describes itself as active in the McQuesten neighbourhood of Lower East Hamilton, where its weekday Mercy Center on Parkdale Avenue North holds a drop-in for children and youth, Bible studies and a moms-and-tots group.

On Sundays the congregation worships in the gym of Guido de Brès Christian High School on Albright Road, at 10:30 in the morning and 1:00 in the afternoon, with a potluck lunch in between.
