## What they believe
Calvin Christian Reformed Church calls itself an heir of the five solas of the Reformation, from Scripture alone to the glory of God alone. It affirms the Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian Creeds and the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession and Canons of Dort, and holds the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. Believers and their children receive baptism as the sign of God's covenant, and the church strongly supports Christian education.

## What to expect
Ushers hand out a bulletin and help visitors find a seat; the main entrance at the back of the building opens into the fellowship hall, with the auditorium straight ahead. The church describes worship as a dialogue between God and his people, with a balance of contemporary music and traditional hymns; the pipe organ is the main instrument, and a praise team leads about twice a month. Bibles and hymnals are provided, and coffee is served before and after the morning service.

## About this congregation
Calvin Christian Reformed Church stands on Highway 5 West with a Dundas address; the City's heritage inventory lists it under the former township of West Flamborough. The congregation grew out of First Christian Reformed Church in Hamilton, whose members in Flamborough wanted a church of their own. It was formally organized in November 1954 with 37 families, all recent immigrants from the Netherlands, and its first services were held in the old West Flamborough Township Hall in Greensville, beginning on 3 October 1954.

Veenendaal Construction of Sarnia built the brick church, which was dedicated on 2 October 1958. Its pipe organ, a century-old R. S. Williams and Sons instrument, was bought the same year, and in 1998 a new education wing and fellowship hall replaced the old wing. In 1985 the growing congregation formed a daughter church, Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Flamborough.

Worship is held twice every Sunday, at 9:30 in the morning and 6:00 in the evening, and both services are streamed on YouTube.
